Amelia is an artist, designer and maker. She grew up in a home nestled among lush native bush in Tāmaki Makaurau, so there is no surprise at her love of wood, which features prominently in her work. Amelia creates her art pieces, sculpture and furniture in a range of scales with quality and beauty at the core. Her process is a journey of discovery - she finds fallen trees, uncovers the grain, and brings the timber’s unique qualities to the surface. Each piece of wood has its own story to tell and, created by hand, each of Amelia’s works has its own difference.
