Hi - I'm Sam. Weekends at the Beach is born from my love of bringing joyful colour & style into the everyday. I am always looking for new ways to elevate the ordinary & make life that bit more fabulous. With a degree in Textile design & a background in art & interiors it was a natural progression to bring all of those things together & create something truly unique. I hand paint candles, cards & art in my home studio by the beach in Paekākāriki & while patterns are repeated, the hand painted nature of my pieces mean that no two are exactly the same. In a world obsessed with mass production, my signature style embraces the perfectly imperfect. My candle are designed to be mixed & matched to elevate any tablescape or mantelpiece into something that bit more special, it’s all about having fun with your style & bringing another layer of joy into your home. I aim to produce feel good pieces that are as practical & individual as they are beautiful.
